COLORS OF RHINA, a new and fun-filled, variety TV showcases the diverse interests and talent of El Barrio’s “funny lady,” Rhina Valentin, a New York woman who celebrates the city’s multi-cultural and multi-ethnic heritage through a mix of interviews, performances and entertaining skits and vignettes written by her and her creative team. Additionally, COLORS OF RHINA TV features interview segments exploring women’s issues spirituality as well as highlighting new talent and community celebs.
COLORS OF RHINA TV currently airs on Manhattan Neighborhood Network, BronxNet Television & Amherst Media. Presently, the show is a TV half-hour. This fall, COLORS OF RHINA TV will be available online through the Women’s Broadcast Television Network.

Rhina “La Reina” Valentin, a “Jane-of-all-trades” in the arts and entertainment industry is a proud New Yorker. Born and reared in Manhattan’s East Harlem, her parents hail from the enchanted Caribbean Island, Puerto Rico. These natural traits are complimented by her love of learning and travels across the U.S. and the globe. Most importantly, it is her genuine curiosity and love of people, language and culture which have made her New York’s favorite “Café Con Leche” TV personality. Credited with the highest-rated audience on BronxNet TV, Rhina celebrated her 10-year anniversary as host of the award-winning morning talk show “OPEN Friday.”
Whether live, on-set, or through the TV, Rhina’s effusive personality and ability to bond person-to-person has won the hearts of her fans and admiring audiences. From heart-breaking life-events to joyful celebration, Rhina’s thoughtful and thought-provoking conversation explores the depth of our individual and collective humanity. A funny lady, who at times is self-effacing, Rhina’s guests and audiences enjoy her wit and value her authenticity.
As an award-winning actor and performance artist, Rhina fondly recalls having been part of the cast of Hugo Perez’s acclaimed short, “Betty La Flaca” which aired on HBO. Rhina has also appeared in nationally syndicated commercials for household name brands such as Bally’s & 1800-Flowers. In 2015, Rhina was a distinguished honoree and recipient of the 25 Bronx Influential Women Award from the Bronx Times Reporter.
Among various roles that include TV personality, comedienne, writer, dancer, producer, director, and choreographer, she credits having become a mother as one of life’s “greatest blessings and transcendent, transformational gifts.” As a domestic violence survivor and advocate for women and youth, she also gives private workshops and promotes healing and wellness in her talks as a motivational speaker.
